Description
In ancient Finno-Ugric religions it was believed that a water bird, probably a duck, accidentally created the world by laying an egg. The egg broke, and parts of it constituted the earth, and the sun and everything else around us. This kind of pendant is a very common archaeological find from the areas that were inhabited by the Finno-Ugric peoples.
