Description
As here are no archaeological finds of arm armor from the Viking era and with mailshirts typically ending at the elbow length most reenactors tend to use ahistorical solutions like leather vambraces or the splinted armguards from the Vendel era.
There are however some sources from the late Viking age, like the Bayeux tapestry and some other artworks that depict warriors wearing what can most likely be interpreted as wool armwrappings similar to the ones worn on the lower legs.
Our version of the armor consists of wool wrappings with hidden plastic protection underneath. It is lightweight, durable, and battle tested to protect you from the rigors of full contact fighting. Metal plated protection for the underarmor is also available upon request.
